Lung Hsiang Tseng

Lung Hsiang Tseng, nee Chiao, was born in March, 1952 in Ping Tung, Taiwan. She was the youngest of four daughters for Colonel Chu Lin Chiao and his wife Fun Lin Chiao. She attended Ming Chuan College in Taiwan earning a Bachelor’s of Science in 1975. She immigrated to the United States in 1976 to attend Northeastern University in Boston.

There she made The Dean’s list, ultimately earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in June 1979. During that time she met her husband Chi Ping Tseng. They married in June, 1978, in Boston and briefly lived in Princeton, New Jersey as Chi Ping finished his PhD. Starting in 1979, she worked as an accountant in The DuPont Company. She was the devoted mother to her 2 children, Christina Devine and Wen Allen Tseng. During their time in the Brandywine School District, Lung’s egg rolls were a legendary school potluck dish. After her retirement in 2005, she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren Caitlin and Alexa Devine. Both girls will miss their beloved Grandma deeply.

She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Central Mandarin Chinese Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses Online Church. Along with her husband, children, and grandchildren, she is also survived by her sisters Mary Chung, Alice Ly, and Ning Chiang.

Funeral Services

There will be a viewing at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 7th at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike Wilmington, DE 19803, with a burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery 6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808.
