Victor Peter Beiriger, Jr.

Victor Peter Beiriger, Jr., age 94, passed away at his home in West Grove, PA on May 2, 2022.

Victor was born in Ashland, Kentucky to Victor and Ada (Stack) Beiriger. He attended PS DuPont High School, graduating in 1946. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and served with the Forces of Occupation in Japan as a member of the 11th Airborne Division at Sapporo, (Hokaido) Japan. Following his discharge, he attended the University of Delaware and graduated in 1951 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at the University of Delaware, he served as President of the Intramural Athletic Association, Treasurer of the Student Government Association, and was a Member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Victor was employed by the DuPont Company and served in the various supervisory positions at their Martinsville, VA and Edgemoor, DE plants. He retired in 1985 as the Edgemoor Assistant Plant Engineer. He was an annual retreatant at St. Joseph’s in the Hills Malvern Retreat House, a member of st. Ann’s Men’s Club in Bethany Beach, and an active life member of VFW Post 7234, Ocean View, DE. Victor was an avid sportsman who enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling, fast pitch softball, and who varsity lettered in Baseball during high school and college.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 34 years, Madalene (Kirchner) Beiriger in 1985.

He is survived by his present wife, Dolores M. Beiriger; son, Mark D. Beiriger (Jeanmarie) of Bethany Beach, DE; stepson, James Sanford (Charlene) and stepdaughter, Cynthia A. Sanford; granddaughters, Christa Beiriger Corrigan and Jenna Beiriger; great grandson, Luke Corrigan; and sister, Vivian Epps.
