Aunt Wilma was one in a million. I will always remember how she fixed mushrooms every which way she could think of trying to get me to like them. Always loved going to her and uncle Deans house. Always made me feel welcome. I will miss chatting with her, but I know she's happy with the Lord now.

♥️ ♥️ ♥️. There are no words in my heart to express what Wilma means to me. She filled so many shoes Family, Friend, Spiritual teacher, Life counselor. She gave so much to so many & asked nothing in return. Until we meet again ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

The foundation of Christianity that Wilma laid in my life cannot be put into words. I remember as a little girl at State Line just staring across the church to the other side at those first 6 or 7 pews of teens and counting down the SECONDS that I could sit in that section. Wilma was like our shepherd and we were her flock. A flock of teens from all different backgrounds, different schools, different states, many different “teenage problems”, we even had some misfits some black sheeps per se. But we all had one thing in common no matter how we looked on the outside or what home we came from we were all there to walk closer to the Lord and Wilma helped us when we took the wrong road, hit a bump that set us back, and hit bad weather when things were out of our control. She was tough and tender, spicy and sweet and we all soaked up everything she said like a sponge. She had a gift that’s for sure! She made the Bible come alive to us, she made it sound so “cool” and the things we learned blew us away. I’ll never forget those times in youth group! The best days of my life! I couldnt wait til Friday nights and all the trips we use to take! State line Baptist church was the hot spot! This was 30 years ago for me and I still rely on the knowledge Wilma has so graciously passed down to me!!!! No one I have ever known could break down the word of God like her…. When I say a gift I mean a gift and if you never got to sit in a bible study or a youth group class with her man you missed out! When I heard of Wilma’s passing I had to sit and just wrap my head around how her entrance must have been?! She talked about it for years in youth group how she couldn’t wait to get to heaven and meet Jesus! I just can imagine Him thanking her for the impact she made and all the hard work she did. She helped bring so many to Christ! She is going to have many rewards in heaven and I cannot think of anyone else who deserves it more! Wilma, thank you for all the lessons and all the love you gave to us! You will never be forgotten and your teachings will live out a legacy for sure! I will see you again! Please find my daddy and my grandma and tell em all about my kids they didn’t get to meet. And tell Pastor Cunningham that things never have been the same since he went home. I’ll be there soon and will stay for an eternity with you all! ❤️

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭8 KJV You finished well Sis…You finished well
