Whitney Chase Gray

Whitney Chase Gray, age 40, of West Chester, PA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

Chase attended the Pilot School, the Sanford School, and Gould Academy in Bethel Maine. He was an avid winter skier, and loved spending his summers on Lake Onawa in Maine swimming and climbing mountains. He also loved spending time at the Delaware beaches.

Chase is survived by his long-time partner Heather Wright; two brothers Tripp Gray and his wife Robin, Brandon Gray and his wife Chelsea; a sister, Regan Gray and her husband Billy Hackett; his mother Charlene Gray and his father H. Wendell Gray Jr.;  four nephews Mack, Carter, Brooks, and Declan Gray and his beloved fury friend Sly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Chase’s memory may be made to the Hope for Depression Research Foundation, 40 West 57th Street, Suite 1440, New York, NY 10019.

 

Funeral Services

A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Chase’s life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up in the same neighborhood and rode the bus to Sanford with Chase. He was always so energetic and fun to be around! Great neighborhood memories of growing up in Westover Hills. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
