Virginia Louise Baker Reynolds, 87, of Wilmington, Delaware died on Monday January 8, 2018.
Virginia earned her undergraduate degree in Art and Secondary Education from Asbury College in Kentucky where she was editor of the college newspaper during her senior year and a Master’s degree in Art from Columbia University in New York. She was an art educator and artist for several decades.
She was active in the United Methodist Church her entire life. Virginia was the Director of Education at United Methodist Church of the Atonement in Claymont and volunteered in Child Life at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children for a number of years.
Virginia’s husband, James M. Reynolds, Sr., died in 1998. She is survived by her son James M. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife Nancy and daughter Elizabeth Rowe (Wilmington, DE); and four grandchildren, Lydia and Jamie Reynolds, Phoebe Rowe (Brooklyn, NY) and Brian Rowe (Charlotte, NC).
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church of the Atonement where friends may call beginning at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the United Methodist Church of the Atonement, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19713.
