Sharon A. Huselton

Sharon A. (nee Humble) Huselton, age 79, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away in her sleep on the morning of Monday, January 30, 2023, and was reunited with the love of her life, her husband, David W. Huselton, who passed away May, 28, 2021. They were married nearly 52 years.

She was born in 1943 in Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John William and Mary Elizabeth Humble. Sharon was a graduate from Claymont High School in 1961 where she participated in Field Hockey and Choir. She was also involved in her church choir at Atonement Methodist Church where she was a long time member.

After high school, she worked as a bookkeeper with Delaware Fund Group. In 1976, she earned her certificates in Accounting I and II. She then started her long career with PFPC as an accountant, eventually becoming an accounting manager. She was well respected by her colleagues and clients.

She retired in 2005 and joined her husband at the beach to live out their golden years. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend. Sharon was always active in all of her daughter’s activities, which she took a lot of pride in doing. She was very easy to talk to and people would always just open up to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her infant son David W. Huselton, Jr., her brother, John “Jack” William Humble, Jr., her sister, Shirley Anderson, nephew Edwin M. Anderson, III, great niece, Keri Lynn Anderson, and great nephew, David Olin.

Survived by her daughter, Tanya Earner and her husband Jim Earner, her grand dog Cooper, niece Nancy Anderson, nephew John W. Anderson, great niece, Shannon Taylor, great nephew, Edwin M. Anderson, IV, great nephew, John Anderson and niece-in-law Diane Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 290 Churchmans Rd. New Castle, DE 19720.

Funeral Services

Viewing will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 9:30-10:30AM followed by her funeral service at 10:30AM at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike. Interment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.

    I was so very sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. She was one of the first coworkers I met at PIMC (my first job out of college). She was a wonderful mentor and counseled me many times regarding many different topics. She will be surely missed I am sure as she was a beautiful and funny person. I will prayer for strength for her family during this most difficult time.
