Condolences

JOAN HOLSTEIN lit a candle and writes,
There are so many memories--it's hard for me to think of Sara Lu without smiling. I will always remember her laughter. It was contagious. We laughed together and also shed a tear or two on occasion. Even though she was small in stature, she could be a "force to be reckoned with" if need be. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and was able to see her great granddaughter before she left us. I remember how she and her husband Murray attended all the events in which their granddaughters participated. They were so proud and were quite the cheering squad. What a loving couple they were. Each took care of the other and it was a joy to see them together. Although her memory was failing, when we would go to lunch at our favorite restaurant, she was the one who knew exactly how to get there while I would be hopelessly lost. We had such a good time. The waiters knew what we wanted before we even ordered! One of my favorite memories of Sara Lu was when she bounced down a flight of stairs on her bottom, laughing all the way. That's how I remember Sara Lu - so full of life - and she lived her life to the fullness. She is an inspiration. I'm sorry I won't see her again in this life but I know she and Murray are making the angels smile.
