Ruth Elizabeth DeVries

Ruth Elizabeth DeVries of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on March 23, 2017 at Rose Court of Maris Grove.

She was the devoted wife of Frank DeVries and mother of Carol Lee Ray of Pocono Pines, PA and Michael Scherb of Ramsey, NJ. Ruth also was loving stepmother of Holly Flaherty of Hixson, TN, Janet Demmin of Hinesville, GA, Nancy Carpenter of Elkton, MD and Peter DeVries of Newark, DE.

Formerly of Chads Ford, PA and Allendale, NJ, Ruth was an accomplished water colorist and crafter and knitted nearly 100 blankets for local hospitals as a volunteer of Project Linus. Her career included various positions supporting businesses with bookkeeping, banking and reception skills. Ruth was predeceased by her first husband, Erhard Edwin Scherb.
