Robert (Bob) F. Zogby Jr., loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at home. Robert was 67 years old, born on June 19, 1950, in Utica, New York.
Bob’s generous spirit was felt by all, especially his loving family. His volunteer work included serving as President of the Saint Edmonds Dads’ Activities Club as well as various activities in the Knights of Columbus. But nothing compared to the endless hours he spent with his family, the primary joy in his life. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Carolyn and a tremendous support of her work in education. Bob had an extremely close relationship with his sons, and they all enjoyed working on numerous projects together. Perhaps his greatest joy of late was his grandchildren. Bob adored his granddaughters and often regaled others with humorous stories of their antics. Bob also enjoyed spending time in Florida and loved to travel the world with Carolyn. His family has an abiding love for him, and his loss will be sorely felt by everyone whose life he touched.
A 1972 graduate from Villanova University, Bob worked for Renault, U.S.A. Inc. as District Parts and Marketing Director. He also worked for Chrysler Motors Corporation as Regional Service and Parts Manager.
Bob was predeceased by his father, Robert F. Zogby, mother, Sylvia M. Zogby, and father-in-law, Anthony J. Vignola. He is survived by his cherished wife of 44 years, Carolyn V. Zogby; his two sons, Robert F. Zogby III, and daughter-in-law, Jill Protokowicz, and Joseph A. Zogby and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Zogby (Antes); two granddaughters, Sadie Elizabeth and Emily Nicole. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Eva M. Vignola, sister-in-law, Lorraine Samii and brother-in-law, Mahmood Samii; his nephews, Darius Samii (Amanda), Ross Samii (Laura) and cousins, Douglas and Dennis Zogby. Bob is also survived by a special friend, Brother David Parrish, C.S.C., with whom he established a strong fraternal bond.
