Robert F. Curry Sr. passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. In the 78 years that Bob lived, he was so many things to so many people. He was a son, a brother, a wonderful husband, a loving dad, a proud Pop Pop, a well-loved uncle and friend, and a true hero. Bob deeply loved God, his country, his family and friends.
Bob dedicated his life to service, in the military, as a firefighter, and in his community at IHM church and as a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Bob proudly served in the United States Army. Following his military service, Bob continued to serve his community and carry on a family tradition as a proud member of the Philadelphia Fire Dept for over 3 decades. Bob later worked as a fire safety inspector for Marriott International where he enjoyed working with a great team, travelling and meeting people from all over the world. Known for his straightforwardness, calm demeanor, compassion for those in need, and steadfast friendship, he left a lasting impact on those he served and those he worked alongside.
In his retirement, Bob enjoyed family vacations, all family gatherings, golfing and playing poker with his buddies, volunteering to serve the community with his fellow Knights, and boxing with Allison and the team at Neuro Fitness Therapy. Bob always looked on the bright side of life and his standard reply when asked how he was doing was “Better than good!” His legacy of service, love, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
