Rebecca Lena Garagozzo

Rebecca Lena Garagozzo, age 71, of Wilmington, DE, formerly or Philadelphia, PA died on March 14, 2021 at Wilmington Hospital.

Rebecca worked as waitress before deciding to begin a second career as a registered nurse, graduating from nursing school in 1998.

Rebecca was a member of PETA and the Humane Society. She had an undying love for her daughter, grandchildren, and animals of any kind.

Rebecca is predeceased by her husband, John Garagozzo. She is survived by her daughter Danielle Schlemback (Kennett Square, PA), her three step-sons Greg (Cape May, NJ), Keith (Mount Laurel, NJ), and David (Marlton, NJ) Garagozzo, as well as her sister Linda Juliano (Bear, DE). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren; Dante, Michael, Anthony, Nicholas, Olivia, Sofia, Vincent, Isabella, Logan, and Kallen.

Funeral Services

Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM on Monday March 22, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE 19803

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Rebecca’s name to Forgotten Cats at forgottencats.org or Faithful Friends at faithfulfriends.us.

Dear Danielle, I was a work friend of your mothers. We became friends quickly when she transferred from St. Agnes to St Francis. She was a lot of fun. Her heart was so big she was so kind and caring especially of animals. I have so many fun memories of Rebecca and John. I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling.
