Raymond Livingston Barney

Raymond Livingston Barney, age 73, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was the son of the late Arthur and Jessalyn Gordy Barney. Raymond was a retired Lab Technician from E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. after 25 yrs. of service. He proudly served 7 yrs. active duty with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and retired from the Naval Reserves in 1992. Raymond dedicated many years to the Emmanuel Dining Room assisting the poor for the Ministry of Caring. He was also a Eucharistic Minister with Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Wilmington, DE.

Survived by his loving wife Bonnie Barney, his children Monica Barney (Kevin Johnson), Phillip Barney (Lisa), brothers David Barney, Rodney Barney (Nancee), sister Anne VanOrder (Steve) and nieces Allison Barney-Ferguson and Aran Barney.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the Ministry of Caring, Inc., 115 East 14th St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
