Peter R. Siegler

Peter Robert Siegler, age 76, passed peacefully at his home in Wilmington Delaware on Monday, February 9, 2026. He lived in a home supported and cared for by a loving and skilled staff of Mosaic employees and three other men from the community.

He had a gifted sense of kindness, loyalty and always appreciated the people who cared for him.  Those closest to him knew him simply as a loving brother, a loyal friend, and someone who found deep happiness in simple pleasures — trips to the Dollar Store, listening to Rock and Roll music, and being with family.

He loved animals and there was nothing better than an outing to get a Beef and Cheddar sandwich or pepperoni pizza paired with an extra-large soda.

Pete grew up as a New York Giants fan but soon found his loyalty switched to all the Philadelphia teams and enjoyed watching his teams play with friends at his home.

Pete had a remarkable ability to live in the present moment. He taught those around him patience, kindness, and how to see the world with a gentler heart.

He is survived by his sister Karen, brother-in-law Ron, 6 nieces and nephews as well as 10 grand nephews and nieces.

A celebration of Pete’s life will be held in March at his Fairfax home. He will be joining his mother, Doris, and father, Frank, at the Veterans Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.

He will be remembered for his warmth, his smile, and the love he shared so freely.

Leaving good feelings in his wake.
