Patricia DeFino

Patricia DeFino, age 78, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully surrounded by her children Saturday, January 23, 2021. She was born in 1942 and graduated from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, New York. She was married to the love of her life, Patrick DeFino, in 1964 and raised four loving children.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Michael DeFino and granddaughters Abigail and Rebecca; her daughter Karen Taormina and her husband Rick and grandchildren Matthew and Sydney; her daughter Gina Looney and her husband Tom and grandchildren Andrew and Kelsey; and her son Thomas DeFino and his wife Rachael and granddaughters Olivia and Anna; and brother Jack Keegan and his wife Barbara and niece Wendy; and her cousin Jean Morrish.

Pat was predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years, Patrick DeFino; her parents John and Frances Keegan, and her brother Gerard Keegan.

Pat was a loving wife, mother, mommom and sister  who cherished spending time with her family. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and was very proud of them. Pat is known by friends and family as an energetic, friendly, and spirited woman who had a big heart and a loving spirit.

Pat retired from AIG Insurance Company after 20 years.  Once retired, she enjoyed working part-time at the YMCA where she cherished her friends and enjoyed yoga classes.  Pat enjoyed family gatherings, going to Sunday mass, and going to lunch and shopping with her daughters.  She also enjoyed visiting with her sons, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending their sporting events.

Funeral services will be private due to Covid concerns. Pat touched so many people and she will be honored with a Celebration of Life in the near future.

Thanks to Christiana Care Covid wing for taking exceptional care of our mother.  Thanks to all the first responders and healthcare workers for their dedication during the pandemic. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Talleyville Fire Company.
