Olga Spoehr

Olga Spoehr, age 89, of Chadds Ford, PA, passed away peacefully at home on the eve of October 1, 2017 surrounded by family.

Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Olga met Jack, the love of her life, while he was a student at Harvard studying abroad. She arrived in the United States on her wedding day in 1955. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Olga was a wonderfully kind person who always placed the needs of others first. For many years she lovingly cared for her grandson, Eric, diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Jack Spoehr, and will be dearly missed by her children, John Spoehr (Ellen) and Sandra Dreisbach (George) all of Chadds Ford; her five grandchildren; Eric, Jack and Scott Dreisbach; and Luke and Emma Spoehr, as well as a large extended family. She was predeceased by her sister, Zonia Seizinger.

Olga’s family would like to express sincere gratitude to her dedicated caregivers over this past year.
