Mary Caperton

Mary Caperton, age 90, of Milford, Delaware, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Milford Center.

Mary was born in Wilmington, growing up on Kirkwood Street. She attended the Wilmington public schools and graduated from the Wilmington High School. She worked as a file clerk for AstraZeneca, a pharmaceutical company and worked part-time in the evenings cleaning offices.

Mary enjoyed shopping at Boscov’s, the local Christiana or Concord Malls, many shops in New York City and even the outlets in Atlantic City, NJ.

In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Caperton. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Curtis) Jackson, her sons, Thomas Caperton, Jr. and Anthony Caperton, all of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, DE 19805.
