Marilyn E. Carros

Marilyn Kinzey Shaffer Carros passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on January 21, 2026,  at the age of 95.

She was raised on a farm, nurtured her own family in the suburbs and retired in the city. Marilyn was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Ida Shaffer, a devoted sister to Maxine, and a loving mother to Juliet, Nickolas and Jason.

She is survived by her three children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  At her core Marilyn was a poet, a painter and friend to many. She will be remembered for her warm smile, quick wit and determined spirit.  Marilyn will live on in the hearts of her family, loved ones and all who knew her.
