Margaret Persoleo

Margaret “Freida” Persoleo, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022 in West Springfield, MA.

Freida was a long time resident of Hockessin, having moved here in 1951 when she married her husband of 30 years, Charles. Together they built a mushroom farm business. She later worked in the local mushroom cannery and packaged goods store. Upon her retirement, she moved to Massachusetts to be with her granddaughter and her family. Freida enjoyed assisted living in Holyoke, MA for the past 4 years.

She is predeceased by her husband Charles F. Persoleo and her daughter Deborah Persoleo. Survived by her daughter Pamela (John Jay) Maniscalco, Deborah’s children Charles (Chrissy) McDaniel, Elizabeth (Joseph) Potts, Timothy McDaniel, 5 great grandchildren, her sister Wanda Crossan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
