Margaret Ann Deaton

Margaret Ann Deaton, 90, of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully at Churchman’s Village on Sunday August 13, 2017.

Born in Matewan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Deaton and Cora Gross Deaton Murphy. Margaret came to Claymont in 1943 and retired from the DuPont Company after many years of service. During retirement, she enjoyed working in her yard.

Margaret is survived by her brother Richard Lee Murphy; step-sister Geraldine VanCaneghem; nieces Sharon Dowling, Karen Murphy and Deborah Pleasants; nephews William Deaton and Kevin Murphy; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
