Kathryn Brown Lewis

Kathryn B. Lewis, age 96, of Roseville, California, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022.

Kathryn was a homemaker who volunteered at Winterthur Museum & Gardens; and enjoyed growing orchids and various plants. She was an avid golfer, having been a member of the DuPont Country Club for many years, and spent each Fall & Winter “snowbirding” in Florida. Later, she would move to Roseville, California and continue to enjoy her favorite pastime in the year-round mild weather.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. William, who passed in 1993 and her eldest son Bill, who passed in 2019. She is survived by her son, R. Kent Lewis of Jacksonville, FL., her grandchildren;  Rich Lewis (Jonathan); MaryBeth Hetzler (Andrew); David Lewis (Jill); Katie Lewis (Steve); and 2 great granddaughters, Claire and Corinne Hetzler.

The Lewis family would like to thank Kathryn’s longtime caregiver and friend Marcy Colvin as well as Sutter Hospice for the exceptional care & support.

Services will be private.

    My dearest Kathryn, it has been my pleasure helping you over these past several years. I have learned so much from you, I will carry on in my life. You were such a special person, and I will truly miss you, but I know you are happy reunited with Bill and Billy. You will forever be family to me.
