John J. Mellett

John J. Mellett, age 56, of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

John was born in Philadelphia Pa., son of the late John J. and Sarah McGee Mellett. He was a graduate of Brandywine High School and retired from Winterthur Museum. John enjoyed spending time with his faithful friend side-kick Buster at his home in Rehoboth Beach. He was an avid Philly sports fan who had a passion for cooking and was always in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes.

John will be deeply missed by his wife of 21 years, Cathy and his sister Sally (Sean Lajoie). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mary Stirparo (Dan), brothers-in-law; Vincent and Robert Conticello in addition to his niece Meghan Stirparo and nephews Daniel and Michael Stirparo and his aunts, uncles and many cousins.
