I remember John as being such a nice and gracious man. I worked with him at Back to Basics Learning for several years before he left to join Layton. A few times after John had left Back to Basics, he would drive by the building and noticed I had just pulled into the lot. He then stopped to chat with me. That was such a nice gesture, taking the time to chat with a former colleague.

    Barbara "B" Sheridan writes,
JOHN, you were so great for the MBA, my sister. I loved seeing you when the times brought us together. You were such a gracious and classy man who had so many beautiful qualities. You treated my sister with such grace. You treated Buddy Rocco with such calmness taking him to class at Centreville Layton. MBA told me that you would want to sleep on Buddy Rocco's sofa at Centreville Layton in case it snowed. John, Buddy Rocco's hair was over the entire sofa but you were not bothered by it at all. AND you know what I remember most of all that October evening is when your adorable Buddy Rocco was being put to sleep (his Cancer had taken over his back legs and he could hardly walk) to go to Doggie Heaven you walked gingerly into your home, with your BROKEN FOOT, and immediately said, "Hi Buddy." It was the ultimate compliment to you when with all of his strength he could find, Buddy lifted his entire body and let out his Buddy noise as though he was talking to you specifically, recognizing your voice immediately to say "Thank you John...I love you." And your perfect dog, (who was a Therapy Dog without ever having formal training) never looked up again. It was just unbelievable; I will never forget YOU or BUDDY! To my sister MBA, you have been through so much tragedy in your lifetime...whatever you need I am always here for you!!! With LOVE "B" Barbara Sheridan

My deepest sympathy. John was such a loving man and I feel a member of my family as well. His kindness and generosity towards my parents (Conrad and Marilyn King) in the last years of their lives will never be forgotten. His visits brightened their days and helped strengthen their faith. His bright smile and quiet presence helped me through my darkest days in their loss. May you find comfort in your memories and in knowing he was a man who had a life well lived and left an indelible mark on all those he touched. God Bless.

Cindy Paranczak lit a candle and writes, In loving memory of John Yunger, who was so kind and thoughtful to everyone he encountered. He was a great man who made everyone feel special. When my Husband was very ill he always asked about him and I knew he truly cared. John and Mary Beth shared many wonderful years together, which, I was a small part of, working with Mary Beth for over 25 years. I saw them together and knew they had a deep relationship. John's eyes lit up when Mary Beth was around him. I know John's heart was broken when their beloved dog, Buddy Rocco, passed away. John and Buddy were inseparable.Mary Beth, I am so sorry for your loss. You have been through so much in your life, but God has given you the strength to go on and to help so many other people, which is one reason we all love you so much.
