Jane Rebecca Taylor Beattie

Jane Rebecca Taylor Beattie, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2018.  

Born January 26 in Centreville, Delaware to the late Henry and Ethel (McConnell) Taylor on a “gentleman’s farm” where her father was a caretaker.  She was the youngest of six children.

 A graduate of Wilmington High School, she later became a bank officer for Delaware Trust Company retiring after 25 years of service.  Jane then fulfilled her dream of moving to the beach, relocating to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware until 2015.  It was there she developed a passion for fishing, bird watching, enjoyed painting the seaside landscapes and spending time with her cats.

 She is survived by her daughter Teresa Holton (Donald) and son Patrick Beattie and was a loving grandmother to Jeffrey and Christopher Holton. She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna (Taylor) Williams, Mary (Taylor) Beattie, Emerson, Leroy, and Thomas Taylor.
