James Galaris

James Galaris, 92, of Wilmington, Delaware and formerly of Aegina Island, Greece died on Saturday June 20, 2020 at Aegina Island, Greece.

James completed his high school education in Greece. Following high school, James served in the Greek Air Force as a supply officer. He came to the U.S. in 1957 and began a long career in the restaurant business. He worked for over 25 years as a chef at Constantinou’s House of Beef and Seafood. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and AHEPA for many years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wilmington, Delaware.

James was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Galaris. He is survived by his son Rick J. Galaris and his wife Diana of Wilmington, Delaware.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday July 14, 2020 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE with a burial following in Silverbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Holy Trinity, 808 N. Broom, St., Wilm, DE 19806.
