Helen Zecca

Helen Zecca, age 96, of Wilmington Delaware, formerly of Doylestown Pennsylvania, died on October 14, 2018 at Sunrise of Wilmington.

Helen graduated from the Bushwick School of Nursing and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing education from New York University. She had credits towards a master’s degree from Columbia University. She worked as a Registered Nurse in New York City, Washington, DC and Doylestown Hospital.

Helen was active as a Girl Scout leader, was a member of the Ladies of Mount Carmel and the American Association of University Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Zecca and sister Mary Pohala. She is survived by her children Joanne Zecca-Veater (Nigel), Lorraine Zecca and John Zecca (Nancy) and by her grandchildren Bryony Slaughter (Patrick), Nicole Veater, Henry Zecca and Owen Zecca and great grandchild Everett.
