Helen M. Daly DeDominicis

Helen, 91, passed away at home on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Wilmington Delaware. She was born in Newark, N. J. to the late Helen (Chrenko) and Thomas Daly.

Helen worked in the English Resource Center at Concord High School while her children were growing up. She was also a Director of a Senior Center for New Castle County, planning and coordinating activities, trips and supervising the serving and deliveries of meals at both the center and to homebound Seniors. Helen also served as the Director of Public Relations for the Delaware Chapter of the American Red Cross. She was responsible for public service announcements, news releases to the media, and produced brochures and annual reports, all while coordinating yearly fund-raising campaigns and working closely with the staff.

Helen was a very cheerful and creative person and was always humming and singing a song. She was always sewing drapes, slipcovers, clothing and constantly redecorating her living spaces.  She was a member of the DuPont Country Club where she played golf and tennis and enjoyed socializing with other members. She loved the beach where she usually relaxed reading a book and enjoying her toes in the sand, whether it was a condo in O.C. MD or Hutchinson Island, Fl.

Helen is survived by family members, daughter Karen, son Mike, stepson Alex (Darlene), stepson Phillip (Elyse), sister Patricia (Buddy) and brother Pete (Marge). Companion Tom Faleska and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
