Helen K. Irwin, age 97, of Hockessin, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 7.

She was predeceased by her husband Andrew (2000) and daughter Pamela (2023). Her survivors include sons Alan (Joan) and Peter, daughter Andrea Debold, granddaughter Abigail Chehi (Stephen), grandson Peter Jr. (Megan) and great-granddaughters Maddy and Emma.

Helen had a long career at Weymouth & Smith. An accomplished pianist and violinist, she enjoyed gardening, Sunday family dinners and holiday celebrations.

The family extends thanks to Meals on Wheels, Delaware Hospice, and Senior Helpers.

Your Ma's breadth of accomplishments reach beyond those just published: From this Customer, She was outstanding within that firm for over forty years in knowledge/wisdom, immediate response as Senior office manager. She dealt, as with this customer, individually, reaching personally beyond, the latter but only when approached. She was as a Family member and yet She civically delved into her Village of Hockessin when need arose.     Although I did not work with her I was her insurance agent at Weymouth, Swayze & Corroon. She was always so kind and a pleasure to speak with her. I will keep the family in my prayers during this difficult time.
