Geraldine Wensing Few

Geraldine Wensing Few, age 87, of West Grove, PA formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away on February 1, 2017. Gerry graduated from Haverford High School in 1946. She then entered William & Mary College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. In August 1952, Gerry married her love and soul mate, Walter B. Few, sometimes referred to as By.

Gerry and her husband, Walt were active members of Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington for 32 years. Gerry also worked as a secretary to the ministers for many years. In 1985, Gerry and Walt moved to St. Michaels, MD on the Eastern Shore. They moved to West Grove, PA in 2006.

Gerry was a dialysis patient three days a week for eight years. She was a proud and staunch woman who never once complained. She had more dignity, spunk and determination exactly like her mother! They were cut from the same cloth.

Gerry is survived by her daughter, Janet Grimm, three grandchildren, Katherine Grimm Ford and husband Ryan Ford, Meghan L. Grimm and Victoria N. Grimm and two great grandchildren, Madison E. Ford and Natalie A. Ford. She is also survived by her brother Donald R. Wensing and his wife Carolyn, nieces Michelle Wensing Graziosi and Megan Wensing Bernate and nephews William Scott Wensing and Dr. Michael Wallace Wensing. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband Walter, daughter Carol Ann Few Drass and nephew Stephen Mark Wensing.
