George William Ubil Sr.

George William Ubil Sr., age 74, a long-time resident of Delaware, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 4, 2021, in Newark, Delaware.

George was born in Philadelphia. His parents, Charles and Rita Ubil, preceded him in death, as well as his brother Charlie and sister Mary. He is survived by his children, George, Gwen, and Sarah; his grandsons Mark, Ray, and Richard; his brother Mark and sister Lori.

George had moved to New Jersey and California before settling in Delaware and going to work as a machinist for Amtrak.

George retired from Amtrak in 2007 and preceded to focus on his love of collecting, fixing, and reselling. He especially loved restoring vintage fishing reels and clocks, and collecting lures, cameras, and music boxes among other things. He will be missed by a variety of friends, but at the end, he was at peace with his fate.
