George Diakos

George Diakos, age 84, of Dover, DE passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Mr. Diakos was born in Greece, son of the late Andronikos Diakos and Kyranio Demertzis Diakos. He attended elementary and high school in Samos, Greece. He Athens he studied for 4 years at the Engineering Academy. In June of 1955 he graduated from the Merchant Marine Engineering School.

Mr Diakos is survived by his brothers, Peter Diakos of Greece and Dover, DE., and Thomas Diakos of Bear, DE., his sisters, Maria Golfis, of Greece and Kiki Maroulis of Wilmington, DE.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. A viewing will be held prior from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow the service at Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
