Evelyn Nation Moak

Evelyn Nation Moak, 97, of Wilmington, Delaware passed quietly on Wednesday April 20, 2022.

Evelyn was born in Minden, LA in 1924 and attended Minden High School.  After graduation, she married the love of her life, Herbert Moak.  She was a devoted wife, homemaker and mother to their two children.

Evelyn was a 35 year member of the DuPont Country Club and was involved in women’s league golfing until 2015.  She played bridge weekly with various friends and neighbors. Evelyn enjoyed a long life after retirement traveling, vacationing and playing golf with Herbert. She enjoyed making others happy and watching them smile.

She was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 2006.  She is survived by sons David (Barbara) of Malvern, PA and Dennis (Janet) of Colorado Springs, CO, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her extended family and special caregivers, Michele Jennings and Susie Moak. The family would like to thank the staff of Arden Courts and Heartland Hospice for the time and care they gave her.
