Dorothy C. Flynn

Dorothy C. Flynn, born 1939, died of cancer on June 13, 2017.

Dotty, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Earl Chambers, grew up in Baltimore, MD. She is survived by Philip, her husband of 53 years. Three children also survive her: Joslyn (Mrs. Stephen) Hills, of Chevy Chase, MD., Keating (Mrs. Joseph) Johnson of Princeton, NJ, and Philip M. Flynn and (Jennifer Flynn) of Philadelphia, PA, and 6 grandchildren: Molly, Will and Ben Johnson; Annie and James Hills, and Charlotte Flynn.

Dotty graduated from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. After her marriage she became a Guide at Winterthur Museum for 10 years and then worked in the Development Office at University of Delaware for the College of Arts and Science. She later served as Development Director for the Delaware Symphony. She has volunteered at Christiana Care Hospital for many years as a member of the Junior Board and as a Trustee.
