Craig Edward Wilson

Craig Edward Wilson, 63, passed from this world peacefully on January 26, 2019 surrounded by his family and his pup, Minerva. He was born in Wilmington, DE in 1955 to Edward James Thomas and Eleanor Frances (Sullivan) Wilson. He would grow to become one of the nicest, most generous, stubborn men to walk this earth.

While he spent his life as a mechanic and machinist, his passion was farming and all things that grow. He spent close to 15 years in Caroline County, MD raising his two children, Krystal and Marc, away from city life in the middle of the fields he loved. Greensboro was one of his favorite places. He loved trips to the beach, and random trips anywhere. If something was broken, he would fix it, or figure out how to fix it – any puzzle he would solve. He could talk to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to stop to help a stranger in need. He spent his retirement surprising his mother with window and garden trinkets and becoming an excellent chef for his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor, his two children, Krystal and Marc, his brother Dana (Cheryl), his ex-wife, Julie (they had an amazing relationship for their children), and two step-grandchildren, Cassandra and John McGinnis. He is also survived by a long list of close and loving family and friends, including his adopted son Justin Ertle.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way # 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
