Clair V. Frank, 89, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2017. He was born in Philipsburg, PA and was raised in Osceola Mills.
Clair was a US Army veteran, serving in Japan with MacArthur’s “White Glove” unit. When Clair moved to Wilmington, he worked for Brosius & Smedley before opening his own flooring store.
Clair cherished his family and friends with all his heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach. He loved and spoiled all the family pets, especially Trixie. He loved traveling, working in the garden, sports, coaching Little League baseball and was an enthusiastic lifelong Steeler’s fan.
Clair is predeceased by his parents, a brother, three sisters and son-in-law, Chuck Davis. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn and his children, Leslie DuPlessis and her husband Bud of Newark, Lorraine Davis of North Brunswick, NJ, John Frank and his wife Carolyn of Wilmington and Lisa McDonald and her husband Glenn of Houston, DE. He dearly loved his nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and five nieces. We will forever miss his smile, laughter, and kind spirit. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Compassionate Care Hospice in St. Francis Hospital for their strong support and loving care.
