Christine Hoover Frazer, age 95, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on December 14, 2018
Born in DuBois, PA in 1924 to the late Robert and Janet Jeffryes Hoover. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Syracuse University. Received Fellowship to the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and received her Master’s degree in Public Administration. Christine met her future husband while at the university and later moved to Wilmington in 1950.
She was a member of the First Unitarian Church, served as President of Alliance, co-chair of Emmanuel Dining Room program for 25 years, charter member for League of Women voters, 25 year membership in American Association of University Women, 25 year Docent at Delaware Art Museum, 25 year Hagley Museum volunteer, longtime member of the DuPont Country Club, served twice as president of Womens 9-hole golf, 20 year volunteer at McDonald LPGA Championship, attended University of Delaware Academy of Lifelong Learning for over 20 years.
Survived by her son Jeffryes “Jeff” Frazer of Westminster, MD. Predeceased by her husband Dr. August Frazer, daughters Christine Frazer and Dr. Marilee Frazer
A memorial service will be held on December 26, 2018 at 11AM at the First Unitarian Church, 730 Halstead Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803. Interment will be private.
