Carol M. Whitner, 79, of Wilmington, DE passed away at home on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was an Administrative Assistant for Hercules Incorporated of Wilmington.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, David Whitner of 56 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Knapper and her husband, Toby and Joan L. Culver and her husband, Howard and two grandsons, David and Ryan Culver all of Wilmington.

Services and interment were private.

    Dear Joan; I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom before Christmas. I had heard the very sad news from Elaine just before Christmas. I remember seeing your mom outside in the spring and summertime taking care of the front lawn and always said hello when I walked by while walking my dogs. It is hard to lose both parents and then we become the matriarch of the family. I know I have not seen you in several years but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
