Carlotta Kay Mannheim (nee Stephens), age 83, of Hockessin, DE, formerly of Landenberg, PA, died on December 23, 2025.
Born in Allentown, PA, Carlotta was the daughter of the late Arthur and R. Isabella (Miller) Stephens. She graduated from Allen HS in Allentown, PA and Delaware Technical Community College in Wilmington, DE. For many years, Carlotta was active in The Association for Children with Learning Disabilities (ACLD) and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She enjoyed traveling, architectural design and Irish music, and she loved her family and horses.
Carlotta is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Howard M. Mannheim.
She is survived by her children, Darryl and his wife, Karen, of Landenberg, PA; Tami McClatchey and her husband, Michael, of Ellicott City, MD: Shari McAllister of Ocean View, DE; and Donald of Bethany Beach, DE; her grandchildren, R. Koty McAllister, and his wife, Julia, of Ede, Netherlands; Cooper McAllister of San Diego, CA; and Caleb McClatchey of Chicago, IL; her brother, Bruce Stephens, and his wife, Louise, of Bethlehem, PA; her sister-in-law, Rosie Mannheim, of Casselberry, FL; her niece, Amy Thomas, and nephew, Brian Stephens; the Riding Ladies Lunch Club; and her dear friend, Connie Blood of Arlington, MA.
A celebration of life will be held in mid-January. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NAMI at www.nami.org.
