We played tennis and some golf together and he always made it more fun. Although we did not spend a lot of time with him, he is one of the people I most admired and thought positive things of when we were together. Living next door to the most wonderful couple for almost 30 years, we have been blessed by having both Ted and Barb as our neighbors. We will miss Ted so much, and, of course, all of our backyard chats. We shared Ted's love for running and the outdoors, and he was an inspiration to so many of us. He always offered encouraging words, concern for others, and was just a GREAT guy. His love for his family was ever present. Our deepest condolences to Barb and the entire Geist family.

    Dr. Ira Kotler writes,
To Ted’s family, Ted and I played little league baseball together when we were 8. We liked each other and renewed our friendship at Roosevelt H.S. Time passed and I thought of those years often. The last time I saw Ted was in the men’s room at Madison Square Garden… probably 25 years ago. We had a joyous and warm reunion. Hearing how he lived his life does not surprise me… he was honest, decent, ethical, thoughtful as a kid…and obviously throughout his life. My sincere condolences. Ted had a full life, well lived. Ira Kotler

Bobbi I will miss Ted--We were part of a golf group. He was the champion of the LONGEST DRIVE CONTEST on many occasions. He had the best trivial questions when we went to lunch. His political forecast were usually right on. And for serious thoughts, he was a regular gentleman, loved his wife and family and made friends easily. Can't hardly beat that. Chuck Dougherty

Dear Bobbi and Ted’s family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have never known a better man than Ted. While he was at C T in New York it was actually fun to work there. I became a huge fan of Jerry Jeff Walker in the 70’s and I was so happy that Ted appreciated him as much as I did. I know he’s dancing now in that high Hill Country Rain.

To Barbara and Family ... Teddy was part of "the Crestwood Brotherhood" and came from a wonderful family. I've had no contact since RHS and probably a Phi Gam Party at Lafayette. Many years have past. I'll always remember Teddy as a really good guy! It has been nice to read all the wonderful comments from people who were fortunate to be part of his life. It reads so well ... as a life well lived and loved by so many. Barbara, I send my condolences to you and your family. Your wonderful memories can always be with you. Warm personal regards, Alan

Barb and family, We are saddened to hear about Ted's passing. Ted was a born leader and was a great mentor to me when I joined him in New York CT as a fellow team leader. In turn, I followed him to Chicago Office and Glen Ellyn, replacing Ted as he moved on to Delaware. Even though we were separated by distance over the years, I always felt he was available as a friend and for managerial problem solving as needed. Barb and I always enjoyed our times with you Barb, and Ted. His love and knowledge of sports will re remembered by many of us. John and Barb Linnihan
