We want to inform you with deep sadness of the passing of Jagannath Closepet on August 8th 2022 in West Chester PA. He took his last breath peacefully in his sleep.
Jagannath was born and raised in Bengaluru. He obtained a masters degree from IIT Karagpur and graduated as an Engineer from the BMS college of Engineering, Bengaluru. He pursued advanced studies in Germany. He served for the government of India and retired as a senior joint secretary.
Jagannath had an avid interest and love for engineering. .He loved talking about his experiences, having discussions about various topics from manufacturing to Robotics to computers. He had diverse experiences traveling and working in many countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. He always had rich stories and conversations about the Porsche factory in Germany, manufacturing industry in Africa, UN projects in Zambia and the United States.
Mondays and Thursdays were special devotional days for him when he spent his time praying and chanting Rudra(Praying to Lord Shiva) and Guru.
Jagannath would visit the United States regularly and had been residing here for the last 8 months. He thoroughly enjoyed his stays, especially spending time with his grandchildren, engagging in games and conversations with them. He also loved being with his close friends in his community.
He was extremely kind hearted, full of love and affection to for his nearest and dearest. He will be missed dearly.
He leaves behind his wife Shyamala Jagannath, daughter Smita Bellur, son in law Nagendra Bellur, grandchildren Isha Bellur and Aadi Bellur, brother Rajashekhar, brother in law Niranjan Rao, and many more friends and relatives who appreciated his wisdom, knowledge and company.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 11 from 3 to 4 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 7320 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin DE.
