Pushpa Vora

Pushpa Vora, age 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at her home with family by her side.

Pushpa was born in India alongside her 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She married young to the late Popitlal Vora (d 1990) and poured her love and life into her six children. Her greatest pride and joy was her family who she is survived by: Jyotsana (Kanubhai), Jayshree (Arjunkumar) Navnit (Shila), Krishnakant (Shaila), Smita (Rajubhai), and Rasesh (Amita), her 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. As the matriarch of the family, she helped leave a lasting impact on everyone around her.

She left her home country to immigrate to America in 1991, not knowing the culture or the language. These obstacles did not restrain her as she taught the next generation about life. She imparted decency and culture to all her grand and great grandchildren; educating through bhajans, stories and most of all her own example. Through her seva she showed faith, consistency and focus. She mastered selflessness and true devotion to a higher power.

Her unwavering discipline to God and her gentle nature impressed a heart of gratitude and contentment to all those around her. While she never missed an opportunity to pray, laugh, hug, or cry with the people around her, it is her heart and smile that will leave an immortal legacy spanning throughout the generations.

Jay Shree Krishna.
