William K. Nace

William Kenneth Nace, “Bill,” age 93, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026.

Bill attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1956.  He worked for DuPont as a chemical engineer in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Orange, Texas, and Wilmington, Delaware. He worked for DuPont for 33 years.

Bill was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in downtown Wilmington, Delaware for 36 years. He served on numerous committees while also being a Stephen Minister.  Within the community, Bill’s ability to empathize and work with marginalized people earned him the respect of all who knew him.  He was honored to participate in Urban Promise, DelPHR, Poor People’s Campaign, tutoring math within the Boys and Girls Club, driving people to medical appointments through the FISH organization and attending various peace marches in downtown Wilmington and DC.   He felt strongly that all people are loved equally in the eyes of God.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruth, of Wilmington, DE; his son, Steven, of Scottsdale, AZ; his daughter, Kathleen Crytser, of Greenville, SC; his granddaughters, Julia Crytser, of Brooklyn, NY and Dana Crytser, of Rochester, NY.
