Jane H. Copeland

Jane Hartman Copeland, age 96, of Greenville, Delaware passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Jane was born in 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Laurence Hartman and Irene Ware Hartman. Throughout her life, Jane loved all animals, especially her beloved dogs. She did volunteer work over the years for animals and especially for dogs. She was a generous supporter to Christiana Care Hospital, Chester County Community Foundation and several animal groups. Jane was a dear friend loved and admired by many.

Jane is pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years, William G. Copeland who passed in 2012. She is survived by her great-niece, Alison Hartman of Columbia, MO, her dear friend, Christine du Pont, of Littleton, CO, and her great-nephews, William Hartman of Wilmington, NC and Thomas Hartman of Philadelphia, PA.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Stonegate’s for the exceptional care and love they gave Jane.
