Craig W. Aldrich of Wilmington DE passed away in his home on July 10, 2026, aged 60. He was born in 1965 to Paul and Betty Aldrich. Craig was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his brother Mark, sister-in-law Julie, and by his nephew Luke.
Craig was born in Wilmington and lived there until starting his college career in the state of Washington. After a year he decided to move back home, earning his degree in Agricultural Marketing in 1991. He moved to Colorado in 1993 but moved back to Wilmington the following year, staying there for the rest of his life.
Using his skills in marketing, Craig ran a handyman and home improvement business. His customer base was mostly in Sharpley, where there were many homes he upgraded and repaired. He was always ready to help when someone called in a panic needing emergency repairs.
During the last 10 years of his life, Craig cut back on his business efforts to help his parents stay in their home of 62 years. This allowed them to stay in their home with dignity until their passing.
Craig was a larger than life person with laughter being heard wherever he went. He brought energy to every room he visited. He lived unapologetically on his own terms, creating outrageous stories. Generous, sometimes to a fault, Craig deeply loved his family, especially enjoying mentoring his nephew in business activities.
Craig’s love of life and family will be deeply missed but will continue to be felt by those who knew and loved him.
