Dionisia A. Fessaras

Dionisia A. Fessaras, age 91, of Carneys Point, NJ and formerly of Bear, DE, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.

Dionisia was born in Greece, the daughter of the late Antonios and Maria Diakopanagiotis. She completed her schooling in Kos Greece in June of 1938. She was married to the late Antonios K. Fessarasand they moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 1971 where she stayed at home to raise her family.

Dionisia is survived by her sons; Kostas Fessaras and his wife Anna of Bear, DE and Zaharias Fessaras and his wife Irene of Newark, DE, four grandchildren; DionisiaFessaras, Antonios K. Fessaras, Antonios Z. Fessaras and Theodore Fessaras, two great-grandchildren; Ana Papapetridis and Paulos Papapetridis, and her brother John Diakis of Australia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Dionisia’s memory may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19806.
