Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Pote

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Pote (née Park), age 88, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Pote; her mother, Clair Manion; her father, Alexander Park; her brother, Tommy Park; and her son-in-law, Raymond J. Stoccardo.

Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth (“Liz”) Stoccardo; her granddaughters, Beth (Mike) Jenkins and Regina (Dennis) Cassidy; and her five cherished great-grandchildren, Philip, Megan, Brianna, Logan, and Ellie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Betty grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from Kensington High School. She spent most of her life in Springfield, PA, before moving to Delaware a few years ago to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. In her younger years, Betty worked as an operator for the Bell Telephone Company. She later worked in customer service at a jewelry store, where her love for jewelry truly shined. Above all, Betty devoted herself to her home and garden, taking great pride in the beauty her flowers brought to others.

She loved entertaining and cooking, especially baking homemade bread and preparing cookies and candies during the holidays. Betty also enjoyed classical music, crafting, watching game shows and western movies, and was an active member of the Over 50 Club at St. Francis of Assisi in Springfield, PA.

Betty and her late husband, Bob, shared a love of travel, especially trips to the New England states and Lancaster, PA. Though she never held a driver’s license, she always found a way to get wherever she wanted to go.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s honor to the Arbor Day Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
