Sudhir D. Bhavsar

Sudhir D. Bhavsar, 71 of Newark passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021 with the comfort and love of his family by his bedside.

Sudhir was born in India in the state of Gujarat. He graduated from Gujarat University with a B.S. degree in chemistry. With the blessing and support of his older sister Vasanti and brother in law-Ashok, Sudhir immigrated to the United States in 1978. Professionally, Sudhir was employed as an Associate Scientist for the DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical division. Sudhir enjoyed music, gardening with his wife, family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness and loving nature.

Sudhir is survived by his loving wife, Meeta married for 43 years; and loving daughter and son, Seta Sorenson (Nathan) of Newark, DE and Sohan Bhavsar (Ashley) of North Carolina. One of the greatest joys of his life was seeing his grandchildren and encouraging them with their studies, Neil, Samuel, Brayden, and Marissa.

We would like to express our thanks to Dr. M. Jacobson and the Dr’s and medical professionals at the Helen Graham Cancer Center, Medical Oncology Hematology Consultants, Dr. D. Shah and Surgical Oncology, Dr. J. Bennett. and the Seasons Hospice nurses that supported our family throughout this time.

    So sorry to hear about Sud's passing. We worked together at DuPont for many years. Sud was always willing to pitch in and do whatever was necessary to complete a project or activity. He was always kind and soft spoken, a great team member. I have alot of good memories of Sud and will cherish the couple of pictures I have of him and the team.     I was wondering about Sudhir the other day as it had been many years ago when we worked together at Standard Chlorine in the late 70's and the 80's and we went our separate ways in the late 80's. I am very sorry to learn of his passing. A great person with a fine family. He was a true friend. Many blessings to his fine family.
