Maryanne Bemiller

Maryanne Bemiller, age 74, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at her home.

Maryanne was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Mary (Bowdren) Bemiller. She graduated from Bishop Egan High School in Fairless Hills, PA in 1961. She attended Chestnut Hill College from 1963 to 1972, graduating as a Sister of St. Joseph with a B.S. Degree in Education.

Maryanne then earned a Masters Degree in Religious Education from LaSalle University in 1989.

Maryanne was the Director of Religious Education at several parishes in the Wilmington area, most recently at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine where she retired in 2016. She was a great supporter of Faithful Friends Animal Society in Wilmington.

Maryanne is survived by her brothers: Thomas (Janine) of West Chester, PA and Paul (Bebe) of Broomall, PA., 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 1 great-niece and 3 great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Maryanne’s memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Villa, 110 West Wissahickon Ave, Flourtown, PA 19031.
