Alex was a talented artist and often drew pictures for family members. He designed the logo for one of his soccer teams.

Recently he used a 3 D printer to make figures for a chess set. Alex played the piano, guitar, trumpet, and euphonium. Alex was always a loving caretaker of his pets since he was young. His cats, Todd and Misty, will miss him dearly.

Survivors include his parents, Ken and Jane Buddenbohn of Hockessin, DE, his brother Adam Buddenbohn (Ashleigh) and nephews / niece, Alaric, Amalyn, and Axel Buddenbohn of Chattanooga, TN, and his grandmother Virginia Clendaniel of Lincoln, DE. I sat next to Alex every morning in homeroom. He was always kind to me. Made me laugh. We used to joke about axe body spray and drink our coffee together. He was such a good guy. Such a sad loss.

    Thomas A Bowers writes,
I spent many years with Alex as one of his Cub Scout and Boy Scout leaders: as well as one of his soccer coaches in Recreation and Travel soccer with the Hockessin Phoenix. I also had the opportunity to hike on the Appalachian Trail with Alex in Maryland and Pennsylvania. I treasure those memories and good times. As I look back on those years, I remember a young boy with an eagerness to learn, and who was also a fierce competitor on the soccer field. My heart pours out to the Buddenbohn family in the loss of Alex passing. May God bring peace and comfort to the Buddenbohn family during this difficult time. Rest in peace Alex.

    Bob & Louise Buddenbohn writes,
Michael/Ken, Jane and family, No words will ever sufficient when loved ones leave us, especially children. We focus on the loss, the dashed hopes and possibilities, rather than the positive which was the time God blessed us with their presence and good memories. That can never be taken away unless you allow it. I cry for you all, truly, and hope you can find some solace in something a friend told us years ago when someone extremely dear to us passed on Christmas Eve, he told us to rejoice, for Jesus only takes the best on his birthday. Despite the years and distance and never having met Alex, we love you all.

Hard to think straight & say heartfelt words of encouragement as I remember laying in bed at night @HUMCmens retreat talking with Ken about our two sons' life experiences and now hard to believe both have passed on to afterlife! it's been 6 years since we lost Dana, a boy scout tooo::time does help as there is always dark times too! I was so glad Ken would bring Alex to some of our men's breakfasts as my youngest son was good friends with Alex at Sanford & teammates on early travel teams. So rest in peace Alex and God Bless the Buddenbohn family! Mike Wollaston
