Rose Swire Simons of Landenberg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford, PA at the age of 91.
Born in Blackburn, England, to the late James and Mary Swire, she moved to the United States following her marriage in 1946. Rose is predeceased by her brothers Tom and Lionel Swire and her sister Jenny Carter.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Robert Simons, Jr., daughter Rose of Wilmington, DE. sons Robert J. (Mary) of Landenberg, PA and David (Mary) of Kennett Square, PA., grandson Jody Schiavelli, granddaughter Catherine Scherer (Chris) and her 2 great grandchildren Braedon and Elliana Scherer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 5 Christy Dr., Suite 103, Chadds Ford, PA 19317.
