Ignatius Frank Fiorenza, age 90, passed away at his home on September 16, 2018 with family at his side.
Born in New York City in 1928, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Bessie Fiorenza. Frank graduated from Stuyvesant High School and attended Brooklyn College. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Frank was a conductor with the Long Island Railroad and later worked for many years in sales. He moved to Delaware in 1994.
He was a loving and dedicated family man. He was also a man of eclectic interests and talents; played piano and guitar, composed music, fluent in several languages, skilled carpenter and world traveler. Frank was a captivating storyteller and a life-long New York Yankee fan. He loved animals, especially his cherished dogs, Muffin and Dinah.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Mary; son, Michael Christian; sister, Rosalind Massucci; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Jeanne Massi.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to Faithful Friends Animal Society, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
